"LIVE" WORKSHOP #1:

LEADERSHIP "IN ACTION" IN TIMES OF DISRUPTION

(July 13)

We’re all in the midst of sudden change, responding as quickly as we can to challenges we’ve never experienced before. While we continue to come to terms with the scale and impact of the current pandemic, the challenges we face today point to more permanent changes in ourselves we must make in our lives and how we do business. How can we become more adaptable and resilient in our organizations during times of disruption? How can we best communicate the critical messages that our staff, clients, and customers need to hear?

"Leadership in action in times of disruption” is an online seminar focusing on the process of moving from Shock and Survival to Adaptation and Thriving. This is a fast-paced, facilitated, online experience for building personal resilience and community in this pivotal moment of our lives. See complete course description here

"LIVE" WORKSHOP #2:

THE PRACTICE OF REMOTE SUPERVISION

(July 14)

Technology has made it easier than ever before to work outside the office, and when offered the option, many people will jump at the chance to work remotely. Yet those arrangements bring new challenges to both the employee and the employer; this form of supervision might be challenging for both, new or old supervisors: do employees have the discipline and temperament to work independently? How can supervisors ensure that employees truly perform the work? Day-to-day remote supervision challenges experienced supervisors with deploying their authority in new ways, through new channels.

The course demystifies the critical components of remote supervision as indispensable everyday management skills for today’s leaders, deconstructing how supervisors can trust, monitor performance, and enforce confidentiality with success from a distance. See complete course description here

"LIVE" WORKSHOP #3:

THE ART OF ONLINE GATHERINGS

(July 15)

Virtual meetings don’t have to be seen as a waste of time. In fact, they can be more valuable than traditional face-to-face meetings. They are inexpensive ways to get people together – think: no travel costs and readily available technology – as well as great opportunities to build engagement, trust, and candor among teams.

This course outlines simple practices to plan, design, and deliver great virtual meetings that you can manage without being an expert webinar presenter. Tapping into facilitation theory, meeting management, and group dynamics, great virtual meetings explores and demystifies how to run effective online meetings that build trust remotely and make joining together an effective way to work. We will touch on the tools used (but not go into detail on specific tools by vendors), look at communication on global projects, how social media can help, and how to prepare for and structure effective online meetings. See complete course description here
